  1. Please use this thread to suggest any further template changes. Here's the running list of changes (for retro-changes, I'm just running from memory).

    Changes:
Changed theme from green to blue
Added navigation links to below last post (used to only be at top)
Set header text to link back to rayd main page
Moved "Hot Tags" from along the left side to inline with everything else (and adjusted widths to compensate)
Adjusted CSS to compensate for addition of Avatars and Post count (does not currently work in IE6)
Changed wording from "Freshness" to "Last Post" and added "ago" next to the time.

  2. sticky css color is still green, change to a dark blue or something.

  3. Melissa is starting to look at ie6 issues including avatar problems and the pink colors.

  4. i thought pink was the new black?

  5. pshh, you're SO 2 years ago.

  6. If you notice weird looks, mel is playing with the css

  7. Mel made some changes, I made some changes, Tim bitched nonstop.

There's still some template work to be done (need a little more contrast on some pages espcially, as well as the links inside the top graphic, though that graphic was really thrown together).

We'll see if Mel can get in the mood for more hot css action sometime soon

On the bright side, she did add some code to fix the problems in ie6.

  8. Well, if people promise not to whine *cough*tim*cough,* I just might fix the css. Or I might make everything hot pink again just to amuse myself and piss everyone off. Mmm, yes, that sounds more entertaining...

  9. lol, damn women

  10. bitched?

this page looked like a nightmare last night

i do have to admit, it looks better today.

not my fault you can't handle constructive criticism. lol

  11. I think the blue text needs to be a little darker

Up at the top next to your name the "View profile" and logout links cannot be seen because they are the same color as the background.

  12. Yeah, I know... I suck at colors, and mel just keeps telling me that I'm lying. I'm really not, lol. I can't pick a color that contrasts AND looks good.

    Posted 3 years ago #
  13. I never said you could pick colors--you're the most colorblind person I know (but I love you anyway). I said you were lying about being able to do a stylesheet.

  14. Then why couldn't I get links working like I wanted last night? Everytime I tried to get the top links to do something different than the rest of the links, the whole site went fubar. I got no idea how to do that.

  15. Colors are fixed.

    Posted 3 years ago #
  16. yay! They look good

    Posted 3 years ago #
  17. I like it!

The contrasting, the mouse over color, link color...

    good job.

  18. I added a little something so that it's easier to tell if you've seen a new post or not. I noticed that the link to a thread lists the number of replies inside... so if there are more replies since the last you saw it, the link is different. This means that history can easily be used. I made it so that if there is a thread you haven't seen, the words are bold.

The only bug is that when you reply yourself, it doesn't pick it up unless you revisit the page. Sorry, but it's better than nothing for now. One day I'll get a plugin working for it.

  19. I'm sure you noticed that I changed the layout of the front page to a 2-column format. And as I mentioned in the other thread, I took out hot tags and put in a search feature. It was already in bbpress, I just found it and activated it.

  20. I like this new layout. That thanks for adding the viewed thread changes. That helps when I'm at work and want to check rayd real quick to see what is going on.

  21. the "bold" template for threads you haven't seen isn't cached or saved when you leave the forums or close your browser. it's so that every time i visit the forums ALL the threads are bolded on the "Latest Discussions" heading. Is this only happening to me?

    Posted 3 years ago #
  22. The thread names revert to normal (not bold) for me, and I use FireFox 2.0. However, it works with IE Tab, the plugin I've mentioned before.

    Posted 3 years ago #
  23. so, for you, they're never bolded?

    Posted 3 years ago #
  24. Wow... Let me try that again. It's strange, I tend to omit key words when I am tired.

The thread names do not revert to normal (not bold) for me at any point, and I use FireFox 2.0. However, it works as intended within IE Tab (the plugin I've mentioned before).

  25. The css fix works in both ie6 and whatever version of firefox I run. I haven't tested in ie7, and joe tells me there's some sort of problem in ff2.

I don't know what to tell you, I went by css rules outlined on w3schools. Feel free to look at it (tim and joe) and see if you can make it work like I say it's supposed to.

  26. I added adsense ads to the front page and topic page, but it only shows if you're not logged in. So, if you don't like them, either register or login.
