  1. Anyone interested in going to a game and tailgating again this year?

Nina will be back in town at the beginning of October and she and Michael wanted to go with us to get the college football experience. The only two home games during her stay are Duke (10/04) or Gardner-Webb (10/11).

Duke would be a better game to go to instead of Gardner-Webb and it has a chance, although slight, of being later in the afternoon.

I know it is early, but I wanted to make sure this was on everyone's calendars so we could have a large group to attend again this year.

So, let me know if the Duke game sounds good with everyone and let me know if you can attend. Once we get a final count, I can be in charge of calling and getting tickets.

    GO JACKETS!

  3. It's not all about the football. I'm sure everyone who went last year would agree that we had a blast just tailgating and hanging out.

You and Melissa should attend man. Hell, even Stephen showed up last year, and I don't really pin him as being an uber-football fan.

Yea, that Clemson/Tech game I went to last year was a lot of fun...especially considering the unexpected Tech victory, and we were sitting right next to the Clemson section.

I think Nina will enjoy it...this will be her third sporting event here in Atlanta. Went to a Thrashers game a couple years ago, and saw the Cardinals beat the Braves last year. This will be a majorly different experience. It'll probably feel closer to home with the way crowds support teams back in Europe, lol.

  8. The game time is kind of a crap shoot. The NCAA gives schools the option of waiting until 10 days prior to a scheduled game before they announce the kickoff times. This is mostly due to bidding wars over TV/radio coverage.

  10. Sorry about the late reply but I was in Bangalore India for a month and just got back about a week ago. But I am up to see everyone at another Tech game just let me know what the plan is.

  11. Not to thread highjack here... But why on earth were you in Bangalore?

  12. I had to go over there to oversee some engineers that we have working on a project for us. The best part was I had a three day notice before I was sent which did not even give me time to get the suggested shots.

  13. Two things:

    1) I'm going to order two 4-ticket packages next week for the Duke game (8 tickets total). As of right now, the list of attendees is: Mike, Nina, Chris, April, Stephen, Craig, Tim, and Valerie. Tim, let me know if you guys are going to use Val's grandparents' tickets. If so, we can find two others that want to go.

    2) This is the video they are playing on the stadium display before the games this year. Soooooo embarrassing:

  15. For those of you attending, please shoot me an email when you get a chance. I need a way of getting in touch with you guys that is more immediate than waiting on you to respond to forum posts:

  16. Bought the tickets today. Section 222 - Rows 20-26.

$45 per ticket (The tickets were $40 plus a service charge). To pay for the tickets, you can send us a check by mail or give us a check/cash at the game. If you need our mailing address, please let us know.

How do we want to do tailgating food this year? Do you guys want to do every person for him/herself, or do we want one each person be in charge of bringing items? We can bring the hotdogs/buns/veggies like we did last year for everyone if people want to donate a little money to us too (like five bucks). This way, there's less overlapping of multiple people bringing the same thing. Let us know what your ideas are.

  17. Valerie and I were planning on bringing a pasta salad to the game. We hadn't discussed bringing our own food or anything.
